500g Potatoes
2 Teaspoons Salt
50g Butter
100g Self raising Flour

The Good Bit
- Cook the potatoes in a large pan of boiling salted water for 10-15 minutes, drain the water and then mash along with the salt, butter and flour, you should have a stiff and fairly dry dough.
- Sprinkle a little extra flour onto your worktop and roll out to 5mm thickness, cut into triangles and fry for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden (you may need to add extra oil now and then. Serve hot with a fried egg (great as part of a full English breakfast) They can be heated under a grill or in a toaster the following morning.
